Income inequality in America

Measurement by metropolitan area of the percentage of households living below the poverty level; the percentage of income held by the top 20 percent of earners; and the number of low-income households in the region for every high-income household. All raw data came from the five-year version of the U.S. Census Bureau's 2012 American Community Survey, which was released in December 2013. Compiled by Puget Sound Business Journal reporter Emily Parkhurst.
