Description: A man was arrested for drunken driving after an anonymous caller saw a car swerving while driving southbound on South Howell from West College Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. Sept. 16. Police located the suspect passed out inside his vehicle in the parking lot at Caterpillar, 6744 S. Howell Ave., with the engine still running. A breath test indicated a preliminary blood alcohol content of 0.16.

Description: A man was arrested for drunken driving (sixth offense) and resisting arrest on South Chicago Road and East Studio Lane at about 2:55 a.m. Sept. 20. He jumped out of his vehicle and tried to flee police on foot when an officer pulled him over for an unsafe lane deviation. He was unable to complete field sobriety testing and refused breath testing.

Police evacuated the store. An officer spoke to a contractor, who stated he was removing rocks and roots with an excavator when he hit the 4-inch gas line.

Description: An unidentified person(s) stole two flat screen TVs, a laptop computer and a Wii console and attempted to gain entry to a locked safe at a home in the 3600 block of West College Avenue sometime between 9:30 a.m. Sept. 16 and 12:30 a.m. Sept. 17. The victim told police his vehicle was stolen, along with his keys, in Milwaukee on Sept. 16, and he believed the keys were used to gain entry to his residence.

Description: A 29-year-old man was arrested for theft and bail jumping, and a 20-year-old woman was arrested for theft after they stole a $200 ring from a home in the 8200 block of South Country Club Circle on Sept. 18 and jewelry, electronics and tools from a home in the 9100 block of West Elm Road on Sept. 19. The two suspects were located at the Super 8 Motel in Waukesha at about 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21.

The man fought with officers both at the time he was stopped and later at the station. He also yelled obscenities, and after threatening and then spitting on officers, a spit hood was used. A warrant was issued and he was taken for a blood draw. The man was driving a Bayside company vehicle and they were notified of his arrest and that the vehicle had been towed.

Description: Two Milwaukee men, 23 and 26, were arrested for two counts of theft at Sear’s, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, at 8:30 p.m., Sept. 9. The men removed Craftsman tools valued at $800 and attempted to flee. They ran east but were stopped on North Lydell Avenue. These same men were recognized as the having taken tools valued at $530 from the store Sept. 2.

Description: A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana with intent to deliver and a 30-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of marijuana and “a dangerous drug” after a report of marijuana odor coming from a room at Days Inn, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:40 p.m., Sept. 10. The woman allowed police into the room where marijuana was in plain sight on the dresser and in a waste basket. Police found 280 grams of marijuana, along with baggies and a scale.

Description: A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for escort without a license at Days Inn, 5485 N. Port Washington Road, at 11 p.m., Sept. 12. The woman, who said this was the first time she’d ever been involved in prostitution, said her boyfriend had forced her into it and had placed the ad and posted photos. She also said he choked her. The investigation is ongoing.

Description: A 33-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after a report she ran into a parked car in the 700 block of West Glendale Avenue at 11 p.m., Sept. 14. The woman ran from her car but was stopped inside Sprecher Brewery, telling police, “I ain’t talkin to any (expletives)…write me a (expletive) ticket.” They wrote her a ticket and took her into custody.

Description: A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct, both domestic violence-related, after witnesses reported him knocking a woman to the ground in the 500 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 1 p.m., Sept. 15. The man denied the allegations, saying they were arguing and both pushing each other. The woman had black eyes, telling police that didn’t happen today but a few days ago when he hit her in Milwaukee.

Description: A 17-year-old Glendale girl was cited for underage possession of alcohol at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road, at 12:23 p.m., Sept. 17. The girl had a plastic bottle with alcohol in it, which she attempted to throw away when confronted. She then told police she wouldn’t speak to them until she called a lawyer. A parent arrived and a short time later she did admit drinking alcohol at the school.

Description: Three Milwaukee women, 19, 23 and 26, were arrested for theft of children’s clothing valued at $173 from Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:45 p.m., Sept. 17. They filled their purses with the items and ran but were stopped as they attempted to drive away.

Description: A 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for strong-armed robbery and the man was referred to the DA for contributing to the delinquency of a minor at North Oakland Avenue and East Capitol Drive about 10:45 a.m., Sept. 17. They approached a woman, who was waiting for a bus, asking if they could use her phone. When she held it out, they grabbed it and ran. They were found on the bike path near Hubbard Lodge and arrested.

Description: A man, age and residence not released, was cited for possession of marijuana after he walked into the police station under the influence of drugs, in the 5300 block of North Marlborough Drive at 12:10 p.m., Sept. 15. The man admitted smoking marijuana laced with crack cocaine and gave permission for police to search him where he was found with 0.7 grams of marijuana. He was released but returned at 10 p.m. and was turned over to a friend.

Description: Firefighters responded to a smell of smoke coming from an apartment in the 7300 block of North Port Washington Road at 5:41 p.m., Sept. 19. A strong odor of burning oil was evident but no one answered the door and forced entry was made. The apartment was empty and a pot of boiling oil was on the stove. It was removed and a short time later the resident arrived.
